Terms of Service

Welcome to my shop. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below. These terms are intended to make the buying process clear and straightforward while protecting both you and my small independent art business.

About My Shop

I am a sole-trader artist and illustrator, and all artwork, products and services are created, designed or supplied by me unless otherwise stated.

My shop offers original artwork, art prints, greeting cards, digital templates and commissioned artwork.

Artwork & Product Images

I make every effort to ensure that product photographs and digital previews accurately represent the colours, details and appearance of my artwork.

However, colours can vary between different screens, monitors, devices, printers and paper types. There may therefore be slight differences between the colours shown on your screen and the physical product you receive.

As many of my products feature handmade or hand-drawn artwork, minor variations and natural imperfections may occur. These are part of the character of an original handmade piece and are not considered defects.

Ordering

Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase, including the product, size, quantity, delivery address and any personalised information provided.

I am not responsible for errors in information supplied by the customer, including incorrect delivery addresses or incorrect wording submitted for personalised products or commissions.

I reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where necessary, including where a product has been listed incorrectly or is unavailable.

If an order needs to be cancelled, any payment taken will be refunded.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in GBP unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be received in full before an order is processed.

I reserve the right to change product prices at any time, although changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed.

Physical Products

Prints, cards and other physical products will be prepared and packaged with care before being dispatched.

Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees and may vary depending on the delivery service, destination and circumstances outside my control.

Once an order has been handed to the postal or delivery service, delays caused by the carrier are outside my control. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe, please contact me so that I can help investigate the issue.

For damaged, faulty or incorrect items, please refer to my Returns & Refunds Policy.

Digital Products

Digital templates and other downloadable products are supplied electronically.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate device, software, application or account required to access and edit the product before purchasing.

Digital products are non-refundable once supplied or downloaded, except where required by law or where the product is faulty.

Please note that fonts, text formatting, colours, spacing and other editable elements may appear differently depending on the software or platform used. Canva and Photoshop, for example, may render certain elements differently.

Digital products are for personal use only, unless otherwise stated in the individual product listing.

You may not resell, redistribute, share, reproduce, copy, upload or otherwise make the original template files available to others.

Commissions & Custom Artwork

Commissioned artwork is created specifically for the individual customer and is therefore non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required by law.

Before work begins, we will agree the key details of the commission, which may include the subject, size, medium, style, price and approximate timeframe.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate information and reference images where required. Delays caused by missing information or late responses may affect the estimated completion date.

I retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to the artwork unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

Unless agreed in advance, commissioned artwork may be photographed and used by me for my portfolio, website, social media, marketing or other promotional purposes.

If you require a commission to remain private, please discuss this with me before placing your order.

Copyright & Intellectual Property

All artwork, illustrations, designs, photographs, written content, digital templates and other creative content available through my shop remain my intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Purchasing a physical print, card or original artwork does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights to the purchaser.

You may not reproduce, copy, trace, modify, sell, distribute or commercially exploit my artwork without my prior written permission.

Digital templates are licensed to the purchaser for the permitted personal use described in the product listing. Purchasing a template does not transfer ownership or copyright of the underlying design.

Use of My Artwork

You may display purchased physical artwork in your home or other personal space.

You may not use my artwork to create products for resale, commercial merchandise, branding, logos or other commercial purposes without obtaining written permission from me.

If you would like to license an artwork for commercial use, please contact me to discuss licensing options.

Third-Party Services

Some products may rely on third-party platforms or software, such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, payment providers, postal services or printing services.

I am not responsible for changes, outages, restrictions or compatibility issues caused by third-party services.

Where a product specifically requires a third-party platform, please check that you have access to that platform before purchasing.

Personalised Products

Please carefully check all spelling, dates, names and other information supplied for personalised products before submitting your order.

I will use the information you provide when creating your personalised item. I cannot be held responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Privacy

Personal information provided when placing an order will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

I only use customer information as necessary to process orders, provide customer service and meet my legal and business obligations.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to my business, products or legal requirements.

The terms that apply to your order will be those in place at the time you place your order.

Limitation of Liability

I will take reasonable care when creating, packaging and supplying your order.

To the extent permitted by law, I am not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside my reasonable control, including postal delays, third-party platform outages or incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or protections you have under UK consumer law.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and courts of England and Wales.
